The Chains of Infinity

José Monteiro crossed the multiverse to prevent a war. Unknowingly, his journey gave rise to a threat to all realities.

After the events of the trilogy The Guardian's Seed, the paths taken by José and Alberto Costa hold something that neither of them realised they had left behind. Between worlds, promises and stories that came to life, a consciousness was born that belongs to no universe.

His name is Eldran.

At first, they call him a saviour. He appears where armies have failed, where guardians have departed and where entire civilisations await the end. He offers protection against what no one has been able to stop. In return, he demands an oath: that they never reject his presence.

But there are promises that ensnare not only those who make them. They ensnare entire worlds.

As his power grows, universes that should never communicate become linked to the same will. The cities remain standing. Species continue to exist. Worlds do not merge. However, they cease to be free to choose their own future.

Eldran does not want to reduce the multiverse to ashes. He wants to transform infinite realities into a domain from which nothing can escape. And not everyone wishes to fight him: for some peoples, the security he offers is worth more than the freedom he demands in return.

When José recognises in the first manifestations of the enemy traces of the journey he made with Alberto, he realises that the return did not close that story. Now, José will have to face a being he never deliberately conceived, born between creation and the supernatural, capable of existing in multiple realities at the same time.

Destroying a body is not enough. Winning a battle does not liberate a universe. To stop Eldran's expansion, it will be necessary to discover the truth about his origin and bring together peoples who no longer agree on what it means to be saved.

Some will fight to remain free. Others will fight to preserve their own chains.

And, when the same shadow reaches countless skies, the last resistance will have to defend something that no conqueror can offer: the right to say no.
