The Beginning of the End · Part II — The Price of the Universe
Humanity and Its Dark Heritage
The Universe has always demanded a price. This time, someone will ask for the debt.
Synopsis
For three months, Humans and Reptilians have maintained a peace that no one believes in. While Earth prepares for the next war, an Artificial Intelligence spreads millions of seeds across the planet's systems and the new Reptilian Empress seeks a weapon capable of hurting the Universe itself. Beneath the Antarctic ice, José Monteiro finds a civilisation that has preserved secrets lost since the destruction of the Library of Alexandria. Ancient prophecies, forbidden archives and Leonardo da Vinci's notes reveal the same truth: all the Montarion reached the centre. All were forced to choose. All paid a price. Now, with Vhaark'Thor waiting for him and São Paulo on the brink of collapse, José approaches the trial that ended all previous cycles. But the last Montarion doesn't just aim to answer. WHO GAVE THE UNIVERSE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE THAT WE ARE THE PRICE? When the last one reaches the centre, the one who judges may also be judged.
