MONTARIONUNIVERSEThe Guardian's Seed · Book I
Passa-se entre o penúltimo capítulo do Final B e o último capítulo da trilogia The Beginning of the End.
José Monteiro knows a future that has not yet happened. The War of the Heirs has not yet begun. José’s children and the descendants of Alberto Costa have not yet transformed their parents' wounds into a war capable of crossing worlds. But José has already seen what that future could become. And he refuses to wait.
There is only one person who might know a way to break the path that seems to lead them to war: the Guardian Montarion, the mysterious writer whose stories gave rise to entire realities. The problem is finding him.
There is no direct path to Montarion’s universe. To get there, José will have to cross worlds that should never communicate with each other. And he will have to do this accompanied by the man he trusted the most and who betrayed him the most: Alberto Costa.
Together, they enter human civilizations that followed paths completely different from theirs. They encounter versions of José who never discovered what they could have been. Men who tried to save the species and failed. Heroes transformed into absolute rulers. Civilizations where loyalty had consequences as dire as betrayal. Each reality offers one answer and destroys another.
But, after crossing several worlds, Alberto begins to notice something that neither of them were looking for. A coincidence. Then another. Until it stops seeming like a coincidence.
José knows why different versions of himself exist in the Guardian’s stories. Alberto doesn't know why he keeps finding them by his side.
And as the two search for a way to prevent their children from inheriting their parents' wars, they begin to understand that perhaps the most dangerous question on the trip is not how to save the future. Maybe it's finding out why they both continue to exist, even when everything else changes.
There are human civilizations that have been saved. There are human civilizations that have been doomed. And there are worlds where the man meant to protect them became precisely what they needed to be saved from.
