After The Chronicles of Forbidden Time and Those Who Never Existed, on the path created by Ending A of The Beginning of the End. José Monteiro is almost sixty years old.
How does it connect to the other stories?
The sequence is: Ending A → The Chronicles of Forbidden Time → Those Who Never Existed → The Second Multiverse. The Union brought the previous universes to an end, but did not prevent Creation from generating new worlds. José and Inês Valente face the consequences of that decision, while Inês prepares to protect the new existence.
Do I need to read another saga first?
It is not compulsory. This quadrilogy can be followed in the order of its four books. Reading Ending A, The Chronicles of Forbidden Time and Those Who Never Existed helps you understand José’s memories and Inês’s journey.
The Second Multiverse

Synopsis

When José Monteiro united all the multiverses into a single reality, he believed he had brought a definitive end to the wars that threatened to destroy existence. But peace came at a devastating price: universes disappeared, civilizations were erased, and even those he loved most ceased to exist.

Decades later, at almost sixty years old, José remains the only man who remembers realities that the Universe no longer recognizes.

After the events of The Chronicles of Forbidden Time and Those Who Never Existed, phenomena begin to emerge that defy the very laws of Creation. Stars appear where space never existed. Civilizations are born in impossible realities. And signals from places that should not exist reveal a disturbing truth: new universes are being born.

But how can a new Multiverse exist if all the previous ones were united into one?

Alongside Inês Valente, a woman whose courage and determination have made her essential to the future of existence, José embarks on one last great journey to discover the origin of these new worlds.

The investigation reveals that the Union did not destroy Creation’s ability to generate universes. It merely brought the existing ones to an end. And now a force born of the Union itself awakens to prevent existence from dividing again, even if that means exterminating entire civilizations.

As new universes multiply and a war threatens to cross the boundaries of reality, José faces the greatest paradox of his life: to save what is being born, he may have to fight the very laws he established when he saved the old Multiverse.

But the age of the Montarions is changing too.

José begins to understand that the future cannot depend on a single man forever. And Inês will have to prove that a new generation can protect what even the gods failed to understand.

Because José Monteiro saved existence by uniting all the universes. Now he must discover whether he can save it again by allowing others to be born.

The first Multiverse ended with a decision. The second may begin with a choice.
