We do not automatically accept returns solely because you change your mind. You can request an exceptional review by email or via the website form; acceptance and conditions are communicated before the book is sent. This voluntary returns policy does not exclude statutory rights for defect, misdelivery, non-compliance or statutory cancellation.
This exclusion of voluntary returns does not apply to the return of a defective book as provided in Article 107. In such a return, we cover the costs and issue the legally due refund within 48 hours of receiving the book; the wear-and-tear deduction criterion for a voluntary return does not apply.
For a voluntary return we have expressly accepted, we issue the agreed refund after receiving and inspecting the book. Damage attributable to the customer may justify a documented deduction proportionate to the loss in value; if the book has lost all its value, the refund may be zero. This condition does not apply to statutory cancellation because of a defect or the seller’s breach of contract.
We send confirmation when the refund is processed. The time before the money becomes available in your account or on your card depends on the payment method and may be days or weeks. This banking delay does not change the deadline by which the seller must issue the refund.
