We do not offer an automatic voluntary return just for changing your mind. The cancellation rights specific to each province or territory still apply, including those resulting from lack of information, no copy of the contract, and non-delivery.
In Québec, certain failures in information or the contract allow cancellation within 7 days of receiving it; if the contract wasn’t sent, you can cancel within 30 days of purchase. Failure to deliver within 30 days of the agreed date, or the purchase date if no date was set, allows cancellation before delivery.
Under legal resolution in Québec, a full refund is due within 15 days after cancellation. The book must be returned within 15 days after notice, or after delivery following notice, at the seller's expense. These deadlines do not depend on a prior inspection. In other provinces, the local regulations remain in effect and are not replaced by Québec's deadlines.
In British Columbia, when there is a legal cancellation of a distance contract, we provide return instructions within 15 days of the notice. If we omit these instructions, the consumer is not required to return the item under Article 51. We cover the reasonable cost of the return. For postal returns, the item is considered returned at the time of sending. Full reimbursement, without any deduction, is due within 15 days from the cancellation notice or, when the return is legally required and instructions have been provided, from the return if it happens later; we do not wait for the postal arrival when the law considers the item returned upon sending.
You can contact us to request an exceptional voluntary return. The conditions are communicated before the return; a request does not constitute acceptance.
We send confirmation when the refund is processed. The time before the money becomes available in your account or on your card depends on the payment method and may be days or weeks. This banking delay does not change the deadline by which the seller must issue the refund.
